My friend Alli was kind enough to invite me up to her parent’s summer house in Rhode Island for a mini holiday. Five and a half days of something other than regular life. It was just what I needed.
As always, for the photos that made the first cut, but not the blog…visit my Flickr album!
I spent some quality time at the beach adding to my collection of odd tan lines and rendering the pressed powder base in my makeup bag to be too light of a shade.
We spent time roaming around Newport, RI, walking the Cliff walk and oogling at the larger than necessary mansions.
We explored the tiny little borough of Stonington, CT as we wandered about old houses and watched sailboats out on the glittery blue water.
Five and a half days filled with sun, exploration, relaxation and all sorts of fried seafood, burgers and delicious breakfasts later, reality beckons.
Time to return to real life, with only my new tan lines and elevated cholesterol levels to serve as fond memories.
I want to go to there.
